Coaching Right Now Announces New CEO

Coaching Right Now’s CEO, Kelly Ellis.
From our Founder, Bill Auerbach:
I founded Coaching Right Now in October 2008. I will admit, the beginning of a global economic catastrophe was certainly a challenging time to start a business. The business was self-funded and, although, most of my advisors told me to focus solely on sales, I insisted on considering the type of culture I wanted for my fledgling enterprise. My experience told me that if I didn’t invest enough energy into defining the culture I wanted, a culture would form of its own volition that would very likely not align with what I hoped to build.
Now 17 years later, after surviving an economic meltdown, a global pandemic, supply chain disruptions, volatile geopolitical landscapes, emergence of historic technologies, economic uncertainties, political and social upheaval and VUCA (remember that?), I am certain of one thing—people will always need strong, healthy, productive human relationships for our world to thrive.
Our culture, our reputation, our brand, is embedded in that belief that relationship skills can and should be learned by any leader at any level who wants to succeed.
To this end, I am thrilled and proud to officially announce that Kelly Ellis, our COO, has been promoted to our CEO.
Kelly was employee #2 and has spent the last 14 years molding and embedding our culture of Curiosity, Authenticity, Kindness and Energy with a scrappy spirit to help our clients build the type of leaders who not only create work environments where people choose to engage, but ultimately to heal the world one relationship at a time.
I want to thank my co-owner and business partner, Kathy Houde, who has provided strength and leadership as CEO these past 5 years. Kathy will continue to provide her acumen and brilliance as Coaching Right Now rises to new heights, while remaining steadfast in our culture.
Employees, coaches, facilitators, vendors and anyone who has ever graced us with their talent will tell you that Kelly Ellis exemplifies everything that’s right with Coaching Right Now. Kelly’s approach to our business can best be summarized in the following quote:
How you operate on the inside should be inextricably linked with how you want to be perceived on the outside. (Harvard Business Review, Denise Lee Yohn June 26, 2017)
Please join me in welcoming Kelly as our culture, our brand, our CEO.
